Hannah

Hello, everybody! This is me, Hannah! The most important thing I can tell you about myself is that I am a Christian, and I believe that Jesus is God's son and I will go to live with Him in heaven when I die.
Secondly, I'm the older sibling orchestrating the drawing, and the sketching, and the art-doing-posting on this blog. I'm 17, and I have loved art for... oh, I don't know how long, I have a horrific memory.

My artisticness began sometime around when I was three. Sometime around then our family got a set of ANIMAL MARKERS. Animal markers are the best. They were my fascination for a good I-don't-know-how-long of my life. Until I dried them all out, I guess, starting with the black marker, because I had an obsession back then.
Roads. Roads, roads, up and down and inside out, roads everywhere. Always two black lines with the little yellow dashes in the middle over EVERYTHING. All day long.
When I was around three or four, my mom began to find colored lines of my neck. She couldn't figure out what they were for a long time: it looked like I had been drawing on my own throat. Then one day while watching me draw, she found out how I got them there. I wasn't quite strong enough to pull the markers apart at that age, so I would lift the markers up to my neck-level and strain and strain until they popped open, marking me with a red or blue or green stripe.

That's enough reminiscing. Basically, I've been drawing for a long time. I have a shelf crowded with sketchbooks, another shelf packed with drawing how-to books (weeelll, I say packed... most of the books are my chunky making-of Chronicles Of Narnia and Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter movie books... but I have a few drawing books on there), a wooden case of art supplies under the piano, and a dresser drawer crowded with paint pens, doll clothes patterns, charcoals and jumbo chalk-pastels. And some Halloween makeup.

Okay, about myself NOT concerning art. I'm 15. Oh, I already said that. See? Horrible memory. Anyways. I'm homeschooled, and have... one, two... nine siblings. Five girls, five boys, in that order. I'm the second oldest of ten. Yes, ten. Normally we have to say it about three times. People say "Ten? Ten kids? One, two, three, four... TEN?"  It's ten. That's five plus five, you know. Nine plus one.

Again, I'm a Christian, and that's part of the reason I'm an ultra-Conservative. Guns, pro-life, the freedom to worship God how we want. Awesome country.

As for my 'profession', I have none. I'm sort of a Jack-Of-All-Trades chick. Jackette? Jackita? Ahem, moving right along. I like to write and draw (of course) and sculpt, and READ. Reading is awesome. Seriously, I feel so sorry for people who hate reading. What do they do in their free time? Watch TV? PHTHHP, that's not the same.

As for the writing thing, my other sister (the only older one, Trinity) and I have a writing blog: www.quillinherquiver.blogspot.com. I'm not a spectacular writer. Trinity's great though. See for yourself.

That's about all I can think of to say for the moment. About myself. Which is a first. Gosh, usually I can talk about myself all day long. Speaking of which, have I ever told you about the time...

Hannah
